How do I block these advertisements, particularly the ones with bikini pictures/cellulite ads?
I want to reformate my main page/email page to eliminate advertisment graphics. I open this at work, and they are quite visible and annoying.
Nope. Those are paid ads. Just ignore them.

Add the site names of these advertisers into your blacklist.
In IE goto Internet Options -> Security tab
Select the restricted sites and the Site button is enabled.
Add places like doubleclick and such into this list and it will PERMENANTLY remove those ad sources from your pages.
Because these are stored in a restricted file these sites cannot re-enable themselves to advertise on your PC anymore.
It takes a LONG time to build up a good list but I did it and haven’t seen an ad in nearly 2 years.

Good luck. Anyone who invents a fool proof ad blocker will become rich. Getting back to your question, I NEVER get ads about celluite. Bikini pictures, yes, on certain sites. Part of what you get is in response to where you are going and the cookies or trackers that these sites stick on your computer.
Here’s an example. If I go straight to a site that I like that deals with music and movie downloads I get a generic set of banner ads. However, it I first log in to Yahoo, when I then go to my favorite site I now see pictures and ads of cute young women in some dating site and all their addresses are around where I live. Better yet, or worse yet depending on your point of view, if I do a search for a movie that has a suggestive title to it I suddenly start seeing softcore porn ads.
You are not going to get rid of the obnoxious ads but just be aware of where you are going. I continually clean out my folders that hold cookies, history, and temporary files. That helps a lot. And use the best pop up blocked you can find although none of them are working as effectively as they once did.

If at all possible, switch to the Thunderbird email client.
If you can’t, you should:
1) Turn off the email preview window.
2) DELETE anything you do not recognize.
This alone will get rid of 90% or more of your problems.
